To identify the range and characteristics of recreation opportunities and

amenity values.

 

To distinguish among the various organizations who provide recreation

opportunities in terms of legislative mandate, land base and recreation

opportunities.

 

To identify the natural, visual and cultural features integral to the creation

of wildland recreation settings.

 

To identify the characteristics of wildland recreation visitors, in

terms of background,  motives, use patterns and impacts on the environment.

 

To identify and evaluate major issues relevant to the management and

policy aspects of wildland recreation and amenity resources.

 

To apply relevant management and decision-making concepts to the

identification,  allocation and management of wildland and amenity

resources.
