Description

This course provides an introduction and overview of wildland recreation

and amenities management. Focus is on the characteristics of wildland

recreation opportunities and amenity values and the production of those opportunities and values. Discussion includes the relationship among the organizations that provide wildland recreation opportunities, the setting in which wildland recreation activities take place and the characteristics and motivations of the recreation users. Also addressed is the role of visual resources management and visual preference research in natural resources planning and management.

 

Grading

Course grades are based on class participation, mid-term and final exam,
